In Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, what should I do?

The peninsula became a popular tourist destination for affluent families from England, Russia, and Belgium at the tail end of the nineteenth century. Saint-Jean became a popular summer vacation spot for politicians and celebrities from all over the world in the 1950s, thanks to an increase in tourism. Matisse was one of many famous artists to stay there. The construction of villas, detached mansions of greater opulence, among the lush flora and fauna of the Alpes-Maritimes gives new life to the region’s storied past.

Fair Range

Views of Cap de Nice and Villefranche sur Mer Bay can be seen from Passage Beach, which faces west. You can count on having plenty of bright sunshine during the daytime hours. One section is devoted to a private beach with rental stand-up paddleboards. Numerous families bring their children to Passable Beach, making for a very lively atmosphere as the kids splash around and launch themselves off the pontoon into the ocean (yes, it smells of experience). If you’re looking for tranquility, you’ve come to the wrong place (or during the week outside school holidays).

Maurice Rouvier walk to Beaulieu sur Mer

There is a wonderful flat trail that is accessible for strollers and people with mobility issues that starts in the quaint village of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. This is the neighborhood of Beaulieu sur Mer. Av. Denis Semeria, at the level of the Town Hall is the starting point (locate the white sign “coastal path”). After passing over Port Beach, the trail heads northeast toward the seaside resort town of Beaulieu sur Mer. After the beach, you may locate a number of secluded coves that are perfect for swimming. In the winter, we saw people who were fishing for sea urchins. In around 25 minutes, you may reach the beach at Fourmis, in Beaulieu.

Visit Beaulieu-Sur-Mer

Beaulieu sur Mer, a small beach community, bordering Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. By walking along the Maurice Rouvier promenade, you may easily get there as well (see above). The beach at Baie des Fourmis, the casino, the Belle Époque-style retonde, and the villa Kérylos are just a few of the things to see and do in Beaulieu sur Mer, which is not a popular travel destination on the Côte d’Azur.

Villa Kerylos

The most popular place to visit in Beaulieu sur Mer is the Villa Kérylos, a mansion built between 1902 and 1908 in the style of ancient Greece. The interior was designed to evoke the luxurious atmosphere of a traditional Greek villa, and it succeeds magnificently. As a tourist in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, you can enjoy this as part of your itinerary. In about half an hour, you can reach Villa Kérylos via the Maurice Rouvier promenade. As an alternative, you can drive there and search for parking near the Beaulieu casino. Events at Villa Kérylos and other nearby villas for rent in the summer are detailed on the website.

Sunset Cruise

You can see Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat from a new angle on a 1.5-hour sunset cruise that sets off from Nice. The boat will go around the cape and then head toward the peninsula from Beaulieu sur Mer. You can jump right off the boat and swim, you can go snorkeling if you bring your gear, or you can just relax and take in the scenery while chartering a boat.
